Cimarron is seeking a *Facilities Cost Estimator* to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado.
Key Duties:
- Analyze blueprints and technical documentation to develop cost, labor, materials, and time estimates for facility renovation, sustainment, and modernization projects.
- Present detailed cost estimates to managers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to formulate accurate estimates and resolve project issues.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to update and adjust estimates as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive cost reports and bid packages outlining breakdowns of expenses.
- Estimate costs for equipment and materials required for project execution.
- Update estimates based on market trends, price fluctuations, and economic factors.
- Monitor industry developments to ensure estimates remain accurate and competitive.
- Utilize cost estimating, forecasting, and project management software tools.
- Review and verify subcontractor quotes for accuracy and alignment with project scope.

- Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- 8 or more years of experience.
- 4 or more years of experience as a cost estimator.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong math and research skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency with RSMeans (or similar) and the Microsoft Office suite.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- Professional certification in cost estimation or project management.
- Understanding of Earned Value Management.
- Familiarity with MS Project and financial systems.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
