The Town of Cohasset, an active waterfront community on the South Shore, is looking for a Facilities and Procurement Specialist. General Responsibilities
The Facilities and Procurement Specialist, reporting to the Director of Facilities, provides administrative support for the functions and operations of the Facilites and Procurement offices; performs or oversees the performance of a variety of administrative and clerical functions including initiating bids, contracts, advertisements, addressing a broad range of services and records all pertinent information to maintain proper operations of a large and complex office.
Education Requirements:
Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, MCPPO Certification needed and 5 years’ experience in a highly complex setting, or an equivalent combination of education and municipal experience.
Knowledge, Ability, and Skills:
Considerable experience in an office setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including competency in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and excellent accuracy.
Must possess strong organizational skills
Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work independently without direct daily supervision and be able to prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly work.
Employee must have familiarity with standard administrative tasks and understand various town bylaws and state and federal regulations.
Must possess high ethical standards, and honor confidentiality when necessary.
Salary: $41.89 - $50.06 per hour, 35 hours per week, with a generous benefits package
