Facilities and Maintenance Manager

SPCA Florida is seeking a reliable, experienced, and hands-on Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repair, and daily operation of our campus and facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while making a meaningful impact on the lives of animals, our staff, volunteers, and the community we serve.
At SPCA Florida, every team member plays an important role in our mission. We rely on our Facilities and Maintenance Manager to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained so our medical center, adoption center, and administrative facilities operate efficiently and provide a positive experience for clients, adopters, volunteers, and employees.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for performing and coordinating general maintenance and repair work, overseeing campus appearance and functionality, supervising the Groundskeeper, managing relationships with outside vendors and contractors, and responding promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, functional, and inviting campus for everyone who visits or works at SPCA Florida.

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, building maintenance, commercial property maintenance, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare, nonprofit, veterinary, or multi-building campus environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of the stated educational requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general facility maintenance.
