Fabricator

Summary of Position:

The Fabricator l, in the Maintenance Department, creates new metal and plastic parts to maintain existing equipment in the production department or parts that complete the production line. The employee in this role creates from collaboration with team members and/or their own expertise.

Functions of the Position:

• Responsible for the creation of fabricated parts as needed to maintain and/or complete production lines, using machinery and drill presses, grinders, saws, and other welding related equipment.
• Participates in assembly at the production line if required.
• Keeps department and equipment clean and orderly.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One plus year of maintenance, welding or fabricating experience preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal handling, using power and hand tools required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Material handling equipment certification required (JBSS Issued).

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to use power and hand tools safely.

Job Specific Requirements:

This position is subject to mandatory overtime based on business needs.
