Fabrication Supervisor

Experience with: Positioning, fitting, clamping, and tack-welding components to prepare assemblies for final welding and fabrication. Setting up and operating arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, and gas welding equipment to fabricate and assemble components to specification. Assembling fabricated components using bolting, welding, and other mechanical fastening methods. Repairing and modifying products, equipment, and structures through disassembly, straightening, reshaping, cutting, welding, and reassembly techniques. Performing FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), GMAW (MIG Welding), and SMAW (Stick Welding) processes; must possess or be able to obtain required welding qualifications/certifications. Safely operating overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Maintaining quality standards while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. Supervision: Works under minimal to no supervision and is expected to exercise sound judgment and decision-making in daily activities. Typically reports to a Production Manager, Fabrication Manager, or other designated operations leader.

Required Skills & Experience

Must possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and work independently with minimal supervision. Must demonstrate advanced welding capabilities and a proven ability to perform high-quality welds in accordance with engineering, safety, and quality standards. Must have advanced blueprint reading and interpretation skills, with the ability to accurately understand fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and technical specifications. Employee must be able to independently plan, prioritize, and execute assigned jobs from start to finish while minimizing downtime, maximizing efficiency, and meeting production schedules.
