Fabrication Shop Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fabrication Shop Manager to join our team in New Castle, PA. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our fabrication shop, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all shop operations, including scheduling, production, and quality control.
• Lead and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring they have the tools and training needed to succeed.
• Develop and implement efficient fabrication processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed to keep production running smoothly.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices within the shop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a fabrication shop or similar environment, with at least 3 years in a management role.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and tools.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a fabrication setting.
• Proficient in using fabrication software and tools.
