Job Description:
Duties:
- Handle and mix hazardous chemicals, slurries, and solutions used in wet etching, oxide removal, electroplating, lapping, and polishing processes, following all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
- Operate specialized wafer fabrication equipment including wet benches, electroplating tools, lapping and polishing systems, and Matrix Ash tools.
- Perform electroplating on wafer surfaces (front and back) and verify gold thickness using profilometers.
- Mount wafers onto sapphire slides for backside processing and safely dismount wafers using solvent benches upon completion.
- Thin wafers through lapping and polishing processes to precise thickness specifications and verify results using Digimatic drop measurement tools and other metrology equipment.
- Conduct detailed visual inspections using microscopes and measurement tools to verify proper processing and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Accurately record process data, measurements, and results using PC-based systems, including Microsoft Excel and supporting software.
- Multitask across multiple tools and processes with stringent timing and sequencing requirements.
Skills:
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to operate precision equipment and comply with critical process specifications.
- Ability to quickly learn and precisely follow written work instructions related to safety, chemical handling, wafer handling, and process flows.
- Strong manual dexterity with the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive and detailed tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform thorough inspections and recognize process anomalies, with clear communication to engineering teams.
- Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment requiring specialized garments and protocols.
- Proficient in PC usage, including Microsoft Excel and MS Word; comfortable learning new computer systems and manufacturing software.
- Working knowledge of quality control systems, including the ability to interpret control charts and basic data analysis.
- Ability to sustain high-quality output in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing goals, priorities, and business needs.
- Demonstrates excellent work ethics, including strong attendance, organization, accountability, and teamwork.
Education:- Semiconductor or cleanroom manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
