Fab Operations Equipment Manager
The key function of this role is to tactically direct a staff of highly skilled electro-mechanical equipment repair technicians spanning a number of shifts in support of manufacturing and assembly while striving to improve and maintain a safe working environment within a semiconductor fab operation. Beyond daily demands, you will work with your team to plan and execute their continuous improvement, reporting on progress to plan.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Report on compliance • Baseline and establish key indicators for your team • Develop plans to improve and report out on progress • Represent the Equipment team at the morning operations meeting, providing status and plans for the day • Play a lead role in defining, documenting, and training for best known and safest methods for your team • Maintain consistency and direction for shift to shift verbal and written communications • Plan and ensure technician resources are adequate across the work week • Coordinate training of technicians and maintain the technician training matrix, aligning training to fab needs • Conduct behavior and performance appraisals, setting and raising expectations yearly • Manage weekly timecards, paid time off, and overtime to business goals • Initiate and provide supplemental after-hours support as the situation dictates • Maintain some degree of connectivity and response to unplanned equipment downs and escalations when off site 24x7.
This position reports directly to the Equipment Engineering Manager.
