JOB TITLE: F-16 Avionics Technician
LOCATION: Greenville, SC
PAY RATE: $34-38/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: 1st Shift (Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift after training)

  • 1st Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM

  • 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Support flight test and depot-level modification activities for aircraft systems.

  • Install and test electrical harnesses, wiring, and avionics components.

  • Route and secure wires, cables, and electrical systems according to engineering specifications.

  • Perform cable and wire termination and soldering operations.

  • Conduct continuity testing, operational checks, and system testing to ensure flight readiness.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems as needed.

  • Perform inspections, installations, and testing to support aircraft sustainment efforts.

  • Support general mechanical tasks and system installations as required.

  • Follow work instructions, engineering documentation, and quality standards to ensure compliance and safety.

Requirements:

  • Experience with avionics systems, aircraft electrical systems, or aerospace maintenance.

  • Experience installing and troubleshooting:

    • Electrical harnesses

    • Aircraft wiring/cabling

    • Avionics components

  • Experience with continuity testing, system testing, and operational checks.

  • Experience with wire termination and soldering techniques.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and work instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and flight safety.

  • Must be willing and able to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned after training.

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting fighter aircraft, military aviation, or sustainment/depot operations.

  • Hands-on experience with F-16 aircraft systems.

  • Background in flight test or aircraft modification programs.

  • Military aviation maintenance experience is a plus.
