PGS Worldwide is seeking an F-16 Avionics Technician in Greenville, SC for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The F-16 Avionics Technician will support F-16 sustainment, flight test, and depot operations by installing electrical harnesses and components, routing wires and cables, performing continuity and system testing, and supporting soldering and termination work. This role requires strong F-16 avionics/electrical experience and the ability to support flight readiness through operational checks, troubleshooting, and repair.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of F-16 fighter avionics/electrical experience.
  • Experience installing electrical harnesses, wires, and avionics components.
  • Experience routing wires and cables.
  • Experience terminating cables and wires.
  • Experience performing continuity testing.
  • Experience performing system testing.
  • Experience supporting soldering and termination operations.
  • Ability to perform operational checks to support flight readiness.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.
  • Ability to support flight test modifications and depot-level sustainment work.
  • Ability to perform general mechanic installs, testing, and inspections as needed.
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned after training.

Preferred Skills

  • 6+ years of recent fighter jet avionics/electrical experience on platforms such as F-18 or F-15.
  • Experience with F-16 sustainment, flight test support, depot operations, electrical harness installation, avionics troubleshooting, wire routing, cable termination, continuity testing, system testing, soldering, flight readiness checks, and aircraft modification work.

What You’ll Do

  • Support F-16 sustainment, flight test, and depot operations.
  • Install electrical harnesses, wires, and components.
  • Route wires and cables throughout aircraft systems.
  • Terminate cables and wires.
  • Perform continuity testing and system testing.
  • Support soldering and termination operations.
  • Perform operational checks to verify flight readiness.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and avionics systems.
  • Support flight test modifications and aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Perform general mechanic installs, inspections, and testing as needed.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned after training.
  • 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.
  • 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM.
