Seeking a Technical Writer in Greenville, SC, on a 4/10 first shift schedule. US Citizenship is required.
This role involves providing repair dispositions and fabrication requirements for aircraft discrepancies identified during maintenance, modification, repair, and overhaul, primarily for F-16 aircraft.
- The position requires interpreting engineering documents and drawings to develop technical guidance for technicians, including estimating labor and materials for repairs.
- Responsibilities include conducting negotiations with customers, performing spot checks for process improvements, and resolving planning document issues to support hangar and flight line operations.
- Experience in aviation maintenance, specifically with F-16s, is essential. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required, with Solumina experience preferred. Candidates must understand contractual work scope, differentiate between basic and Over & Above work, and be capable of planning work sequences.
Ideal candidates will have strong technical planning skills, experience reading engineering documents, and the ability to liaise effectively with operations teams.
