PGS Worldwide is seeking an F-16 Aircraft Mechanic in Greenville, SC for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The F-16 Aircraft Mechanic will support F-16 sustainment, repair, and overhaul operations as part of an aircraft maintenance team. This role performs troubleshooting, repair, operational checkouts, inspections, and general maintenance across aircraft systems including landing gear, powerplants, flight controls, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, airframe components, furnishings, and crew escape equipment.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of F-16 fighter aircraft experience.
  • Experience supporting aircraft sustainment, repair, overhaul, or maintenance operations.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical and pneumatic aircraft systems.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems operation and maintenance.
  • Experience with landing gear systems.
  • Experience with powerplants.
  • Experience with flight controls.
  • Experience with fueling and defueling operations.
  • Experience with aircraft movement, launch, and recovery.
  • Ability to perform operational checkouts.
  • Ability to conduct periodic inspections of electrical, hydraulic, propulsion, landing gear, flight control, airframe, furnishings, and crew escape equipment.
  • Ability to remove panels and hardware to access and repair aircraft components.
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned.
  • Ability to train on 1st shift and move to 2nd shift after training.

Preferred Skills

  • 6+ years of recent fighter jet experience on platforms such as F-18 or F-15.
  • Experience with F-16 APG maintenance, fighter aircraft troubleshooting, aircraft inspections, flightline maintenance, depot maintenance, launch and recovery, aircraft systems repair, and sustainment operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Support F-16 sustainment, repair, and overhaul operations.
  • Perform general aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Maintain and repair electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform operational checkouts and periodic inspections.
  • Inspect and support electrical, hydraulic, propulsion, landing gear, flight control, airframe, furnishings, and crew escape equipment.
  • Remove panels and hardware to access components for inspection or repair.
  • Support aircraft fueling, defueling, movement, launch, and recovery activities.
  • Work with the aircraft maintenance team to support production and sustainment schedules.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
  • Training will occur on 1st shift.
  • 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM.
  • 2nd shift after training: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM.
