About the Opportunity
THE POSITION
The position involves supporting Stanislaus Regional 911 (SR911) technical staff, overseeing radio tower construction projects as well as the maintenance and programming of the Sheriffs Office radio equipment. Responsibilities include inventory management, scheduling repairs, ensuring FCC compliance, and acquiring radio frequencies for Stanislaus County. The role also includes developing proposals for infrastructure buildout, researching funding sources, writing grants, and collaborating with other departments for project management. Additionally, the position entails developing training, managing frequency sharing agreements, assisting in the integration of secure radio systems, and overseeing communication equipment vendors. Other duties include maintaining updated radio profiles, supporting emergency deployments, and ensuring the proper functioning of radios across various departments and contract cities.

Incumbents may also be subject to overtime, standby, callback, weekend, holiday and shift assignments as identified in their MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).
Part-time extra-help is a provisional classification where permanent status may not be obtained. This position is subject to overtime, standby, shift, and callback assignments and will perform related duties as assigned. This position is non-benefited except for participation in a 401a program with Nationwide.
