Responsibilities:

  • Sample receiving and organization, followed by performance of analysis of samples and recording data.
  • Properly archive analysis, samples and data to retrieve necessary.
  • Maintain order in the lab and ensure that all is kept clean and tidy.
  • Monitor inventory in storage and lab spaces to ensure no stoppage of work occurs.
  • Engage in the development and delivery of extension outreach materials for public consumption.
  • Assists with program and outreach efforts.
  • Produces and or delivers presentations
  • Assists in the initiation of applied research studies, collects, and processes data and generates reports.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Soil or Water Science or degree related to natural resources.
  • No prior experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and some basic statistical analysis of data.
  • Knowledge of word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
