Creative Minds International Public Charter School, Washington, D.C.Extended Day Program ManagerThe Extended Day Program Manager role manages the day-to-day administration, staff supervision, and program quality of CMI's academic support and after-school enrichment offerings. The Extended Day Program Manager ensures that all students receive a safe, structured, and engaging experience that reflects CMI's internationally-minded values and commitment to the whole child. Reporting to the Director of Family Engagement, the Extended Day Program Manager serves as the primary operational leader of the extended day program and a central point of contact for families, extended day staff, and the broader school community.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & OperationsOversee the full daily operations of CMI's extended day program, spanning academic support hours (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), before-school care (7:15 AM - 8:15 AM), and after-school care (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)Design, implement, and continuously improve program schedules, enrichment activities, and academic reinforcement blocks aligned with CMI's international (IEYC/IPC/IMYC) curriculum frameworkDevelop and manage program policies, procedures, and operational systems to ensure consistency, compliance, and qualityMaintain accurate student enrollment, attendance, and dismissal recordsEnsure all program spaces are safe, organized, and set up to support a positive learning environmentCoordinate snack, nutrition, and logistics in accordance with school and regulatory guidelinesManage program registration, billing, and collections operations, including family accounts, payment tracking, and resolution of outstanding balancesStaff Supervision & DevelopmentDirectly supervise Program Assistants and any additional extended day staff and program partners (contractors), providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluationLead regular team meetings, professional development sessions, and onboarding for new program staffBuild a collaborative, accountable team culture grounded in CMI's mission and student-centered valuesManage scheduling, coverage, and staffing logistics to maintain program ratios and continuityPartner with school leadership to identify staffing needs and support hiring and onboarding for the extended day teamFamily & Community EngagementServe as the primary point of contact for families regarding extended day programming, enrollment, scheduling, and concernsCommunicate proactively with families through newsletters, updates, and direct outreach in collaboration with the Director of Family EngagementMaintain a welcoming, responsive presence at daily pick-up and program transitionsSupport the Director of Family Engagement in coordinating family-facing events, orientations, and engagement initiatives tied to the programCompliance & ReportingEnsure program operations comply with all applicable health and safety standards, and CMI policiesManage program documentation including incident reports, emergency contacts, allergy and health records, and attendance logsTrack program data and outcomes, preparing regular reports for school leadership as requestedSupport grant reporting and funder documentation related to extended day programming, as neededSchool CommunityCollaborate closely with the Director of Family Engagement, Head of School, Principals, and instructional team to align extended day programming with school prioritiesParticipate in school-wide staff meetings, leadership convenings, and professional developmentUphold all CMI community expectations, policies, and confidentiality obligationsServe as a positive, visible presence in the school community, modeling the school's values and culturally responsive practicesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related fieldMinimum three (3) years of experience in a school-based program, youth development, or related setting, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory or team lead capacityDemonstrated ability to manage program operations and lead a diverse staff teamStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsCommitment to equity, culturally responsive practice, and student-centered program designAbility to pass a background checkProficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and basic student data or records systemsPreferredExperience in a charter school, international school, or multilingual/multicultural educational settingFamiliarity with IPC, IMYC, IEYC, or similar internationally-focused curriculum frameworksBilingual proficiency (Spanish is a plus)CPR/First Aid/ Administration of Medication certification, or willingness to obtain prior to startExperience supporting students with IEPs, 504 plans, or diverse learning needsKnowledge of DC OSSE child care licensing requirements and youth program compliance standardsCreative Minds International Public Charter School is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Position Type: Full-TimeJob RequirementsAt least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.Bachelor degree preferred.Citizenship, residency or work visa required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
