Position: Expo (Food Expeditor)

Location: Alternate Ending Beer Co.
Schedule: 30–40 hours per week
Pay: $18/hour

Job Summary:
The Expo plays a critical role in the success of service by acting as the bridge between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. This position ensures that every dish leaves the kitchen accurately, efficiently, and to our quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of communication between the kitchen and front-of-house during service

  • Organize and prioritize tickets to ensure timely, accurate food delivery

  • Check all dishes for accuracy, presentation, and quality before they leave the kitchen

  • Coordinate food runners and communicate clearly with servers

  • Maintain a clean, organized expo line and service area

  • Anticipate needs of the kitchen and FOH teams during peak service

  • Assist with light prep, garnish, or plating as needed

  • Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards

Qualifications:

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred (expo or line experience a plus)

  • Strong communication and multitasking skills

  • Ability to stay calm, focused, and positive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation

  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed

  • Availability for nights, weekends, and busy service periods
