Rudnick & Sons LLC is seeking an experienced Surveyor / GPS Technician to join our growing heavy civil construction team. We are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable professional who can support field operations with accurate layout, grade control, and machine guidance systems on civil construction projects.

Requirements:

✔ Proven experience in construction surveying, layout, or GPS machine control

✔ Strong understanding of grades, elevations, staking, and site measurements

✔ Experience operating GPS rover, total station, and related equipment

✔ Ability to read and interpret civil plans, blueprints, and specifications

✔ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

✔ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Preferred Experience:

• Heavy civil / roadway / utility construction
• Machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, Leica, etc.)
• Uploading and managing digital models/files for equipment
• As-built measurements and field documentation

Job Duties:

• Construction staking and layout
• Verify grades, elevations, and alignments
• Support excavation, utility, grading, and roadway crews
• Manage GPS files and machine control systems
• Coordinate with superintendents, operators, and project managers
• Maintain accurate field records and measurements
