Experienced Shipping Associate

We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Shipping Associate for our client in Youngstown, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for hardworking individuals who are ready to join a dynamic industrial environment.

In this role, you will be a vital part of the shipping and inventory team, responsible for moving materials, managing stock, and ensuring safe operations throughout the facility. Hours:
1st Shift, 06:30 AM – 02:30 PM

Pay:
$17.00 - $21.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate forklift safely
  • Observe all safety rules and keep work area clean and orderly
  • Pay attention to the movement of co-workers and cranes throughout the shop
  • Move raw materials such as steel plates and cut parts from outside the shop
  • Pick, pack, band parts, and prepare them for shipping
  • Manage inventory in and out of the facility
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain situational awareness around moving machinery and coworkers

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License
  • Strong math skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn company processes
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervision
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Shipping, receiving, picking, or packing experience preferred
  • Willing to work any shift as needed

Nice to Have Skills
  • Forklift operation
  • Welding or heavy industrial experience
  • Experience working with steel or similar materials

Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in shipping or materials handling

Other Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
  • Capable of climbing in and out of forklifts safely
  • Tolerance for working in varying temperatures
  • Respond quickly to sounds and potential hazards
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
