Location: Baton Rouge, LA (various sites)
Post Types: Moderate to high public engagement sites (commercial, healthcare, multifamily, industrial)
Schedule: Varied; nights/weekends/holidays required as scheduled
Pay: $17.00/hr (base), plus earned performance bonuses
Role Overview
Class C officers are experienced professionals who can operate more autonomously and handle moderate to high public engagement while maintaining calm judgment.
This role is designed for officers who take feedback seriously, communicate clearly, and consistently de-escalate situations before they become hostile.

Responsibilities
- Patrol and/or static security per post orders; maintain a proactive, visible presence
- Engage the public professionally; de-escalate verbally and request support early when needed
- Complete accurate electronic reporting every shift; document who/what/when/where/how
- Identify patterns and risks and communicate recommendations to supervisors
- Support and model standards for junior officers when assigned
Standards & Expectations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality. You are expected to be early and ready
- Professional appearance and fitness are required. Command presence is part of the service
- Consistent, quality report writing. Reports must be detailed, factual, and timely
- Calm under pressure: you control your temper and de-escalate first
- You follow post orders exactly and communicate deviations immediately
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older; high school diploma or GED
- Able to pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation
- Meets at least one experience requirement:
- 2+ years military -OR-
- 2+ years police -OR-
- 5+ years security; -OR-
- 1+ year with Signal with documented performance (punctuality, report quality, public relations, temper control, teamwork, issue resolution)
- Complete additional classroom training (advanced communication/process/leadership/reading body language) as assigned
- If armed assignment applies: complete required firearm training certification for state license (as assigned)
- Able to perform required duties with or without reasonable accommodation (standing/walking/patrol up to 45 minutes at a time; lift up to 50 lbs)
- Security experience is REQUIRED for this classification (NO EXPERIENCE RESULTS IN AUTOMATIC DENIAL)

Class C is the primary growth track for officers building toward Class B. Advancement requires documented performance and completion of additional training.
