Experienced Retail Sales Agronomist

GPAC has partnered with a reputable and growing agronomic company looking to add an Experienced Retail Sales Agronomist to their team. The company offers competitive base salaries, top commissions, a company truck, health insurance, 401K and more. 

The ideal candidate will be dependable, highly motivated, detail-oriented and ready to take on this dynamic role. This position offers an opportunity to grow professionally while playing a key role in helping farmers and growers maximize production while controlling control pests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Make fertilizer, chemical, and seed recommendations to growers and farmers
• You will work alongside other agronomists to carry out daily responsibilities
• Facilitate positive long-term relationships with customers to create and promote long-term repeat business
• Prepare sales presentations, contracts and proposals to ensure successful transactions
• Forecast supply requirements by month and annual basis
• Perform a variety of agronomic duties independently
• Keep up to date on all agronomy services and technology.

 Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail agronomy sales in chemicals, fertilizer, and seed.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in an agricultural related field
• Vast knowledge of crop production
• Proven leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently and with a team
• Must currently reside in the region and have a valid U.S. driver’s license
