Experienced Mill Helper- Direct Hire

We are currently seeking experienced candidates for a Mill Helper position located in Painesville, Ohio. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing or mill environment experience looking to join a reputable company on a permanent basis.

Hours
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Pay
  • $19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist operator in loading coils onto pay-off reel
  • Operate jib cranes
  • Set up and tear down the exit end racking
  • Help with stacking finished goods into proper packaging
  • Clean and paint equipment
  • Keep the work area organized and clean
  • Band and wrap finished goods according to specifications
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to read measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read manufacturing orders, quality check sheets, and part drawings
  • Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience operating jib cranes
  • Prior work in manufacturing or mill environments
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance and setup

Preferred Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a mill helper or in a similar role

Other Requirements
  • Ability to work on-site at our Painesville location
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required
