PESI is a dynamic nonprofit organization currently looking for an Experienced Mental Health Professional to lead our social media efforts - to provide psychotherapy insights, education and community to other therapists throughout the world. This person will play a key role in the success of our mission to Connect Knowledge with Need. The ideal candidate loves to inspire, is deeply curious, and feels energized by connecting and engaging with a vibrant global community of behavioral health professionals.

The right candidate has outstanding relationship building skills, a marketing mind and past business growth success. Leadership and project-management skills are also a must, as is the ability to collaborate effectively with our Global team.

What you will be doing: (responsibilities)

  • Lead and work alongside our social media team to reach clinicians throughout the world and help expand their knowledge and skills.
  • Create a social media vision and strategy that furthers our mission.
  • Be the face of PESI on social platforms.
  • Interview and collaborate with respected experts like Janina Fisher, Bessel van der Kolk, Alexandra Solomon and many more.
  • Create uplifting and thought-provoking posts, share our speaker and author experiences, promote special offers and new products, and discuss psychotherapy news, topics and leading issues.
  • Set up and optimize social content for both organic and paid efforts on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, X.
  • Engage with readers and experiment with new forms of storytelling and voice.
  • Monitor content effectiveness. Use analytics and data to make content decisions.

What you bring to the team: (requirements)

  • A degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated business growth success.
  • Professional social media experience (organic and/or paid) in the area of behavioral health. Including experience with Sprout Social, and various social media platforms and tools.
  • Be a creative, passionate, and ambitious professional, full of positivity and empathy, expressive and outgoing.
  • Ability to reflect diverse viewpoints in an unbiased and ethical manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage production schedules while meeting deadlines.
  • Motivated to test different social strategies and learn new technologies.
