Dependable Health of Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Home Health Intake Coordinator to join our growing team.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who already understands the home health intake process and can confidently manage referrals, insurance verification, physician communication, and patient admissions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process new home health referrals
  • Review referral documentation for completeness
  • Verify Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and authorization requirements
  • Coordinate with physicians, hospitals, case managers, and referral sources
  • Obtain physician orders and required documentation
  • Schedule start-of-care visits with clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR
  • Ensure all intake documentation meets Medicare and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate professionally with patients and families throughout the admission process
  • Work closely with clinical and office teams to ensure timely admissions

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 6mo of Home Health or Hospice Intake experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare home health guidelines
  • Experience with insurance verification and authorizations
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Experience working in an electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience with WellSky/Kinnser
