Key Responsibilities:
- Review, interpret, and convert information from the Sales team into Alpine Systems or other design software to create truss layouts and engineered drawings for residential, commercial, and agricultural builds.
- Input precise and complete data into the IntelliView and generate accurate shop orders.
- Coordinate with Sales and customers to obtain approved designs, ensuring timely processing and release of work orders.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Representatives, customers, and building officials to address and resolve design-related concerns.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments through effective communication.
- Participate in scheduled design meetings to stay aligned with departmental updates and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements:
Education: Degree in Architectural Construction Technology, Construction Management, or a related field-or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in construction or building materials preferred
- 1–2 years of experience with truss design software (Alpine, Mitek, and other related engineering software required)
- Wall panel design experience is advantageous
Additional Skills & Competencies:
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and produce technical drawings using drafting tools
- Familiarity with 3D modeling/visualization
- Experience with Alpine, Mitek, and other related engineering software required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially wood trusses and engineered building components
- Solid math and basic engineering knowledge with strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
