The Experience Associate, aka Funstigator, will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment for families and children of diverse backgrounds. These positions are the main point of contact for guests when they visit inspireU and are responsible for most aspects of day-to-day operations and customer-facing activities, including engaging with families in our interactive exhibits, selling tickets and memberships, staffing welcome desks, facilitating educational exhibit programming, hosting birthday parties and field trips, and performing general exhibit cleaning. Funstigators can expect to rotate through all or most of these activities on a daily basis.

Essential Physical Requirements
- Lifts and carries supplies ordered for the program which include boxes of manuals and materials for teacher trainings.
- Facilitators may need to rearrange tables and chairs depending on the group utilizing the facility.
- Trash and recycle bins will need emptied on a regular basis.

- Assist any visitors to the Discovery Store and Café. Process purchases, admissions, and any fees for programs, memberships, and events through the discovery center's ticketing and point-of-sale system.
- Control access to the Discovery Center at the entry point by checking visitors in and directing un-ticketed visitors to the self-serve kiosks.
- Greet field trip groups and provide orientation and expectations for behavior.
- Act as birthday party host, welcoming all party guests, assisting the birthday family with set up/take down, communicating the expectations/rules for their group, and keeping birthdays to their assigned times.
- Restocking/resetting exhibit areas throughout the day and at the beginning/end of each day.
- Perform general museum cleaning including prepping the spaces before opening, cleaning the exhibit areas, and attending to spills/etc. during business hours, and cleaning at the beginning/end of each day.
- Present enhancement activities within the exhibits and assist the Inspire Education Coordinator with activities in Creation Station, our maker space.
Education
Work Experience
- 1 Year - Customer service experience - cash handling a plus - Required
- Background in one or more of the following areas a plus: movement, music, storytelling, visual arts, health, STEAM, ropes/challenge course elements and team building. - Required
- Early Childhood and/or elementary program/camp counseling experience a plus. - Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Driver''s License - Valid In State - If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes - Required Upon Hire
