At Midway Diner, exceptional hospitality starts with teamwork. We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven Expeditor (Expo) to help ensure every guest receives the right meal at the right time.
As an Expo, you'll serve as the communication hub between the kitchen and the front-of-house team. You'll coordinate orders, monitor ticket times, verify food quality and accuracy, and help keep service running smoothly. What You'll Do
- Demonstrate genuine hospitality in every interaction with guests and teammates.
- Serve as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house team.
- Organize and coordinate food orders to ensure accuracy, proper timing, and presentation.
- Review every plate before it leaves the kitchen to ensure Midway Diner's quality standards are met.
- Communicate order updates, modifications, allergies, and special requests clearly with both kitchen staff and servers.
- Monitor ticket times and help maintain an efficient service flow during busy periods.
- Ensure food is delivered promptly to the correct table.
- Assist servers by providing updates and supporting guest needs throughout service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked expo station.
- Help identify and resolve service issues quickly and professionally.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Support both the kitchen and front-of-house teams wherever needed.
Who We're Looking For

- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
- Knowledge of restaurant service and food safety practices is preferred.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays.
- Ability to stand, squat, reach, and walk for extended periods and frequently lift and carry trays, plates, and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
