Amazon Global Specialty Recruiting is looking for an Research Recruiter to help the business scale by identifying and recruiting top talent for executive level positions. This is a high visibility role with a significant opportunity to drive impact at the most senior levels within the organization.

The Research Recruiter will drive search strategy and execution spanning the senior most roles in User Experience (UX), Creative Direction, User Research, Design Ops and UX Program Management, Industrial Design, Store Design, Voice Design, UX Prototyping, and many other creative specializations across all Amazon business lines globally.

This is a fast paced role with a fun and exciting team. This search specialist will conduct extensive market research, competitive intelligence and talent mapping to find and engage top talent across business lines and functions.

This role will drive comprehensive search insights by:

  • Conducting research to map markets and generate candidate names and profiles
  • Creating robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest leaders
  • Calibrating candidates with hiring managers
  • Engaging and building relationships with executive level candidates, and performing initial assessment
  • Contributing to the knowledge base of the executive recruiting team by providing education on industries and talent pools/profiles
  • Building out talent networks in certain functions/industries and tapping knowledgeable industry sources to develop an initial pool of candidates
  • Participating in client update meetings on active searches and preparing reports
  • Shadowing on-site interviews and debriefs
  • Providing strategic guidance and advice in a true partnership with executive leadership

A successful candidate will need to exhibit the following traits:

  • Highly articulate, able to convey complex arguments and engage with senior level executives in a polished and professional manner
  • Self-assured, not easily thrown, able to think on your feet
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, can keep up with the fast paced recruiting culture
  • Exceptional qualitative research skills, including the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources and quickly learn new spaces

Key job responsibilities

Strategic Search Design: Develop multi-channel strategies attracting world-class contributors. Map target companies and research institutions, engage at conferences, generate referral leads. Build talent networks across technology domains and tap industry sources for ongoing candidate pools.

Executive Advisory: Serve as talent adviser to Technical and Business Leaders-educating them about the external design demographic. Provide strategic guidance on top talent. Conduct continuous company and talent mapping. Support client meetings with market-relevant content.

Candidate Development: Develop prospects into candidates through sophisticated engagement. Perform assessment and screening, present to executive leadership. Conduct phone interviews, prepare candidates for on-site interviews, coach leaders on talent acquisition at senior levels.

Market Expertise: Serve as expert for design recruiting. Contribute to knowledge base with education on industries and talent pools across all technical domains. Learn new domains quickly and craft effective search strategies.
