GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic IV-D/TANF Administrator to lead and oversee the Child Support Program (CSP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

As the designated IV-D Director, you will serve as a cornerstone of the Economic Security Division, providing high-level leadership, direction, and accountability for two of the state's most critical programs. In this role, you will shape policy, guide operations, and drive program performance to ensure Wyoming residents receive effective, efficient, and equitable services that promote long-term stability and well-being.

You will lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, foster strong partnerships, and champion innovative solutions that align with our mission to support and strengthen Wyoming families. Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Licensure: Active membership in good standing with the Wyoming State Bar and licensed (or plan to be licensed) to practice law in Wyoming.
Experience: Proven background in public administration or human services, specifically within child support or public assistance programs.
Skills: Advanced executive leadership, strategic planning, and the ability to exercise independent judgment on high-impact, statewide issues.
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strategic Leadership: Assist in defining statewide program priorities and operational expectations consistent with DFS strategic objectives.
  • Staff Management: Directly and indirectly supervise a broad team, including contract staff, while fostering professional development and succession planning.
  • Policy & Compliance: Interpret complex federal and state regulations, translating them into operational directives to ensure total program compliance.
  • Fiscal Stewardship: Manage significant public resources, providing input and oversight for budgets ranging from $25,000,000 to $50,000,000.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership and act as a liaison with the Attorney General's Office, legislators, and federal agencies.
