Job Summary

The Executive Director of Secondary Education is responsible for the planning, implementing, and monitoring of all District programs within the secondary schools. Working in collaboration with site and District leaders, the Executive Director ensures that the academic and other school programs offered across the District meet the needs of all learners. The Executive Director is responsible for curriculum development, curriculum articulation (PK-12), program accountability, communication, and school climate and culture in accordance with the District's Mission Statement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Possession of a valid California Single Subject credential with authorization to teach Music and a Bilingual Cross-Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD or BCLAD) credential, or equivalent. Authorization to teach additional subject areas preferred. If not fully credentialed, the candidate must be willing to enroll in a credential program and have at least 18 semester units in the subject area to qualify for a short-term staff permit, or must be enrolled in a credential program and be eligible for an internship credential.
