Appleseed Personnel is a full service staffing firm in Leominster, with over 40 years experience in matching quality people with quality jobs. We are assisting a small, local nonprofit with finding a new Executive Director for their growing organization.
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the recovery center. The recovery center is focused on multiple pathways of self-directed recovery in a safe, compassionate space, continually fostering choice, empowerment, and hope.
The ED will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day to day operations of this small, community based recovery center. This role places a strong emphasis on community outreach, relationship building, and fundraising to ensure the organization's sustainability and growth. The Executive Director is supervised and supported by the Board of Directors and works closely with the Board, staff, volunteers, and community partners to advance the organization's mission.
Key responsibilities: Provide visionary leadership aligned with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Oversee daily operations, including program delivery, staffing and administrative functions. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Serve as the primary ambassador of the organization, building and maintaining strong relationships within the community. Develop partnerships that expand awareness and access to recovery services. Represent the organization at public events, meetings, and forums. Identify and pursue grant opportunities, plan and lead fundraising campaigns and events. Collaborate with the Board of Directors on strategic planning, and oversee budgeting, financial planning and fiscal management.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
3-5 years of leadership experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or recovery setting
Demonstrated success in fundraising and grant acquisition
Strong community engagement and public speaking skills
Experience managing budgets and operations
Knowledge of addiction recovery services preferred
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience.
