Community Options, Inc. is a national nonprofit organization providing community-based services to individuals with disabilities across 12 states. 
 
We are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Executive Director of IDD Services to lead and grow our established operationsin Albuquerque, NM. This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about improving the lives of people with disabilities while strengthening programs, developing teams, and expanding community partnerships in an existing service region. 
 
Position Overview 
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and strategic growth of the region. This includes oversight of regulatory compliance, financial management, workforce development, and continued expansion of high-quality services.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with all state licensing, regulatory, and reporting requirements
  • Strengthen and lead a regional advisory board to support resource development and community engagement
  • Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain high-quality services
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Identify and pursue grant and funding opportunities to support program growth
  • Lead local fundraising initiatives that advance the mission of the organization
  • Promote and maintain a positive public image while serving as a community ambassador for Community Options
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local, state, and government agencies
  • Participate in the development of short- and long-term strategic goals and objectives
  • Fully cooperate with licensing and regulatory bodies during inspections, inquiries, or investigations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of leadership experience in administrative and supervisory roles (Master’s Degree preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Strong commitment to community-based services for individuals with disabilities
  • Knowledge of funding sources and entitlement programs for individuals with disabilities
  • Confident public speaker with experience presenting at events, conferences, or on social platforms
  • Team-oriented leader with demonstrated success in staff development and team leadership
  • Employment contingent upon successful completion of background checks, registry checks, and drug screening
