Job Summary
Under the direction of the Deputy Superintendent of Local Initiatives and Innovation, duties include: Responsible for ensuring the effective, compliant, and efficient operation of the organization in support of children ages 0-5 and their families. Provides steady leadership, maintains strong fiscal oversight, and sustains key partnerships while guiding thoughtful, measured improvements aligned with community needs. Implements and enforces all policies, procedures, and guidelines. Provides organizational leadership to ensure efficiency and accountability. Exercises sound executive judgment in adapting operations and priorities in response to evolving fiscal, policy, and community conditions. Oversees agency-wide evaluation activities, including community needs assessments, data collection, analysis, reporting, and curriculum design. Ensures data and evaluation findings are used to inform funding decisions, program effectiveness, and continuous improvement. This position is based in Bakersfield, CA.

Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Credentials: • Administrative Services Credential required. • Master's or doctorate degree required. Experience: • Successful experience as an administrator in education, early childhood development, public health, social services, or a related field serving children and families. • Successful experience related to staff management, program development, program management, and budget preparation. • Proven ability to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs, services, and resources that improve outcomes for children and families. • Proven ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. • Leadership in providing staff with the skills and knowledge for effective design, implementation and evaluation of programs. • Successful experience in coordinating and conducting professional learning activities. • Successful experience in organizational change management. Must possess a private vehicle, valid California driver's license and carry current automobile insurance with at least minimum coverage for public liability and property damage. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met.
