Job Summary/Basic Function
The Executive Director of Event Services and Facilities provides strategic leadership for Indiana State University's event venues and auxiliary event operations, with primary responsibility for maximizing facility utilization, generating revenue, and enhancing the financial sustainability of assigned facilities. The Executive Director develops and implements business strategies that expand external partnerships, increase event activity, attract concerts, conferences, and other revenue-generating opportunities, and position university venues as premier destinations for campus, community, and regional events.; ; The position oversees the management, scheduling, operations, maintenance, marketing, and strategic development of Hulman Center, Tilson Auditorium, University Hall Theater, Hulman Memorial Student Union, and other assigned facilities. The Executive Director is responsible for the fiscal performance of assigned auxiliary operations and serves as the university's primary liaison with promoters, event producers, sponsors, community organizations, and campus partners.; ; Through entrepreneurial leadership, operational excellence, and a commitment to customer service, the Executive Director advances the university's mission while increasing revenue, expanding community engagement, and enhancing the overall impact of university facilities and events.

Required Field(s) of Study
Business Administration, Sport Management, Public Administration, Hospitality Management, Management or related field.

Comprehensive and advanced understanding of event operations, event ticketing, concert promotions, public relations, marketing, budget management and facilities management and operations is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership for Event Services and Facilities. Direct the planning, coordination, scheduling, and execution of conferences, special events, concerts, exhibitions, trade shows, commencement activities, athletic events, performances, and other university and community events conducted in Hulman Center, Tilson Auditorium, University Hall Theater, Hulman Memorial Student Union, and other assigned facilities. Develop and implement strategies to maximize facility utilization, enhance the guest experience, increase revenue generation, and support university priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide leadership for revenue generation and business development across assigned facilities and event operations. Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue through concerts, entertainment events, conferences, tournaments, facility rentals, sponsorships, and other entrepreneurial opportunities. Establish and maintain relationships with promoters, event producers, corporate partners, community organizations, and external clients. Negotiate and administer contracts and facility use agreements. Identify new revenue streams and develop business plans that maximize facility utilization, attendance, and financial performance while supporting institutional priorities. Collaborate with University Advancement on sponsorship development, donor engagement opportunities, premium seating initiatives, and other revenue-generating partnerships associated with university venues and events.

Direct the day-to-day operations of assigned facilities and departments. Supervise professional, support, and student staff within the Ticket Office, Technical Services, Event Operations, Conference and Event Services, Guest Services, and related functional areas. Establish performance expectations, operational standards, and customer service practices that support operational excellence.

Analyze financial performance, establish fiscal priorities, ensure appropriate financial controls, and lead implementation of revenue generation strategies to enhance the financial sustainability of auxiliary operations.

Work closely with Intercollegiate Athletics to provide strategic oversight of ticket operations, game-day event management, facility scheduling, and event support services for men's and women's basketball, football, baseball, and other athletic events.
