About the Practice

The Executive Compensation & Benefits group in New York advises clients on complex compensation, benefits, and related tax matters in connection with sophisticated corporate and transactional activity. The practice regularly supports mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and other strategic deals involving senior executives and equity compensation structures.

Attorneys in the group work on high-stakes executive compensation arrangements, incentive equity plans, employment and separation agreements, and related regulatory and tax issues.
Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an attorney with approximately 5-9+ years of experience in executive compensation and benefits, with a strong focus on transactional matters.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Executive compensation design and structuring in corporate transactions
  • Equity and incentive compensation arrangements
  • M&A-related compensation and benefits issues
  • Employment, retention, and separation agreements for senior executives
  • Advising on tax and regulatory considerations related to compensation structures

Candidates should have strong academic credentials, substantial law firm experience in this practice area, and the ability to handle sophisticated matters with significant client responsibility. Experience in a major law firm transactional environment is strongly preferred.
Compensation

The expected base salary range for this position is $390,000 to $455,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on experience and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable law. This role may be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
