    Executive Chef Position Summary
    The Executive Chef must have relevant restaurant industry and previous kitchen and management experience, be self-motivated, creative, has good leadership skills, someone who can spot problems and resolve them quickly while holding a high work and safety standards.
    Will collaborate with the Director of Dining Experiences and assist with enforcement of all food safety policies and procedures. Oversee day to day culinary operations and supervise production of daily specials while delegating tasks, spot checking product for quality, and assisting on the line during peak service times. Motivates, trains, develops, and directs the back of house employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and sectors.  Assist with menu development and implementation including creating daily and weekly specials, updating always available menu when appropriate, creating special event menus, meeting with Oak Hammock residents to plan catering menus and holiday parties. Ensures that high quality food items are creatively prepared and presented. Ensures efficient, cost-effective operation and profitability of food production. Consistently maintains and checks standards for quality, cost, eye appeal and flavor.
     
    Executive Chef Job Qualifications and Requirements
    High school diploma/GED required (Two-year culinary degree preferred)
    7+ years’ experience in a management and Executive Kitchen Position
    Demonstrated knowledge of current restaurant industry trends
    Must possess culinary creativity as well as flexibility.
    Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation regulations
    Comfortable providing direction and supervision to kitchen staff.
    Must possess strong professional communication skills (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with the senior population. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    Have Authorization to work in the U.S.
