This is a highly hands-on role and is a great opportunity for an experiences Sous Chef looking to make the jump to Executive Chef. Experience with Latin cuisine is required.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000
Your Role:
As Executive Chef, you ll set the tone and direction for the entire kitchen operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead all culinary operations, ensuring high-quality food production and presentation across outlets and events.
- Develop menus and specials while managing food and labor costs.
- Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate all kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and professional environment.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.
- Maintain scheduling and staffing levels based on business needs.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and temperature guidelines are followed.
- Collaborate with other departments and hotel leadership to support overall success.
- Respond to guest feedback and adjust operations to ensure satisfaction.
- Participate in budget planning and manage expenses within set targets.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We re Looking For:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or culinary leader.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food cost controls, safety standards, and staffing best practices.
- Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers Certification (as required by state).
- Ability to work long hours on your feet and lift up to 50 pounds.
