Our Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA has an exciting professional opportunity! We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Branch Director to join the team. This position oversees the operation of the Y and participates in volunteer and staff development, financial development and collaboration with community stakeholders.

The South Meridian Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA is unlike any other in the country. Our 60,000-square-foot facility is part of a unique collaboration that combines family recreation, education, sports, literacy, and wellness care on a single campus called "The Hill." Hand in hand with our partners-St. Luke's Health System, the West Ada School District, and the City of Meridian-the South Meridian Family Y will help us build A BETTER US.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains diverse advisory councils that actively support the Y's goals and strategic plans.
  • Leads and provides oversight to a PST (Program Strategic Team) as assigned by COO. Has formal responsibility for PST and Association Programmatic area.
  • Builds bridges within the community so that all segments of society have access to the Y.
  • Effectively communicates community benefit and the Y's impact for all stakeholders (e.g., staff, volunteers, members, and community leaders) develops positive working and collaborative relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities.
  • Manages the budgeting process so that resources are devoted to top priorities and strategic objectives. Ensures operating budgets and unit/participant growth meet or exceed targets based on 5 year budget plan.
  • Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs, which support branch and association goals and strategies.
  • Establishes plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives and the leadership team.
  • Directs the Annual Giving activities of the branch, with a personal emphasis on major gifts.
  • Directs branch strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the branch.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five or more year's management experience, preferably in the YMCA and/or not-for-profit sector.
  • Ability to direct total operations of branch through program volunteer development, supervisor of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, program development and, in conjunction with Association Services, marketing and public relations.
  • Proven fundraising experience, including experience in management and development of policy and fundraising volunteers; ability to recruit community leaders.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationship with others and establishing and maintaining collaborations with community organizations.

REQUIRED LICENSURE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS:

  • YUSA Multi-Team Leader Certification required within 3 years.
  • CPR/AED - Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
  • First Aid - Prerequisite upon hire, 14-day compliance period.
