The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative, operational, and organizational support to senior leadership within Detachment 5, System Space Command, U.S. Space Force. This position requires exceptional professionalism, discretion, communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced government and defense environment. The Executive Assistant serves as a key liaison between leadership, military personnel, government civilians, contractors, and external agencies while ensuring efficient execution of daily operations and mission support activities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to obtain, maintain and access classified information at the TS/SCI level.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience handling sensitive or classified information.
Experience supporting senior military leadership (O-5 and above or equivalent civilian leadership) is preferred
Familiarity with Space Force organizational structures, military protocol, and staff processes is preferred
Experience with DTS, ETMS2, TMT, SharePoint, or other government task management systems is preferred
Knowledge of DoD correspondence formats and records management procedures is preferred
Prior military or defense contractor experience preferred.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide direct administrative support to senior leadership, including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and executive scheduling.
Prepare, review, edit, and manage official correspondence, reports, briefings, memorandums, taskers, and presentations.
Coordinate and track suspense actions, executive taskings, and organizational priorities to ensure timely completion.
Manage classified and unclassified correspondence and documentation in accordance with DoD and Space Force security procedures.
Organize and facilitate meetings, conferences, command events, and video teleconferences (VTCs).
Maintain records management systems in compliance with Department of Defense and federal regulations.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and customer service excellence.
Assist leadership with travel authorizations, Defense Travel System (DTS) coordination, and voucher processing.
Support onboarding activities, office continuity, and administrative process improvement initiatives.
Coordinate visitor access requests, badges, restricted area access documentation, and executive protocol requirements when required.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive personnel, operational, and mission-related information.
Support special projects and mission requirements as directed by leadership.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of 3-5 years of executive administrative experience, preferably within the Department of Defense, U.S. Space Force, or other federal agencies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $26 to $30 per hour, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
