Executive Assistant to Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs

Posting Summary

The selected candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs. Key responsibilities include coordinating annual faculty personnel actions-such as reappointment, promotion and tenure reviews, sabbatical requests, Emeriti appointments, and New Faculty Orientation-as well as supporting general faculty recruitment, recognition initiatives, and additional personnel actions. The role also encompasses supporting professional development programs for both faculty and academic administrators, assisting with the Comprehensive Faculty Mentoring Program, and supporting the Retired Faculty and Administrative Officers Organization.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service acumen and possess a strong track record of effective collaboration with individuals and teams. This position requires proficiency in consulting the University Manual, University policy documents, and United Academics Collective Bargaining Agreements as appropriate. A commitment to learning new technological tools and software that enhance office productivity, outstanding organizational skills, event planning expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines are essential for success in this role.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associates degree in related field and a minimum of five years related experience, working knowledge of software applications used to support area operation, and familiarity with internet resources required.

Desirable Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and teams. Resourcefulness in consulting appropriate staff or university policy documents, as necessary. Willingness to learn new technological software and systems that enhance office efficiency. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to frequent and consequential timelines and deadlines. Maintains a high level of organization and successfully manages event planning logistics.

Anticipated Pay Range

$31/hour -$35/hour
