Primary Responsibility:

Manage a team that provides multi-faceted administrative support and assistance to executives. Uses discretion, judgment, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate the superintendent's activities and maintain confidentiality. Handles a wide range of administrative and support tasks, and independently initiates and implements processes to manage projects, information and people. Conducts research and information gathering on behalf of the superintendent and prepares summaries and reports. Develops positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization.

Essential Job Duties:

Manages a team that provides multi-faceted administrative support and assistance to executives.

  • Coordinate schedules for the administrative staff in the CEO/Superintendent's Office
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with the administrative staff in the CEO/Superintendent's Office keeping the team abreast of information pertinent to their positions.

Uses discretion, judgment, and knowledge of the organization to facilitate the executive's activities and maintain confidentiality.

Provide assistance as needed to support effective operations of the Gwinnett County Board of Education.

  • Serve as the primary back-up and support to the Coordinator of Board Services on Board of Education meetings.
  • Provide additional Board member support and assistance as needed.

Handle a wide range of administrative and support tasks.

Independently initiate and implement processes to manage projects, information and people.

Conduct research and information gathering on behalf of the CEO/Superintendent to prepare summaries and reports.

Develops positive and strategic relationships at all levels of the organization.

Support and promote the Board's beliefs and commitments and the vision, mission, and goals of the district.

Assist with other duties assigned by the CEO/Superintendent and/or Chief of Staff.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
