Under general direction of the Executive Director of Employee and Labor Relations (ELR), this position provides high-level executive, analytical, and project management support on matters that are highly sensitive, complex, and politically nuanced. The role serves as a central coordination pointfor ELR operations across both UC Davis Campus and UC Davis Health. This position independently manages executive priorities, ensures alignment and follow-through on key ELR initiatives, and provides strategic support in the areas of employee relations, labor relations, and workplace programs. The incumbent exercises a high degree of independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in managing competing priorities, synthesizing complex information, and supporting leadership decision-making.
The role functions as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, UC Office of the President, and campus and health system partners, and may act on behalf of the Executive Director in coordinating communications, projects, and deliverables. This position is expected to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and provide strategic recommendations that influence ELR operations and leadership decision-making.
