Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project/Assignment (What is a typical task breakdown & rhythm? What level of interaction will this person have with the team? What will the work environment be like?):
730am-430pm M-F
POL (Physical Office Lab) blood work and needs tested (small test menu) Will also be drawing blood/ Point of care testing, urine microscopic, wet prep
 15-20 draws a day

1 – Is this for and Medical Lab Technician [2 year MLT degree ] or Medical Lab Scientist / Medical Technologist [4 year BS] or are you open to either?  Associates
2- Please confirm if ASCP or AMT certification is required. [If required, are you open to eligible /registered candidates?]  not needed
3- Are you seeking a generalist [proficient in testing in all Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation] or are you seeking a Micro Lab worker with Molecular background?  
4- What department will this technical position support? [Micro lab, Core lab, DNA sequence, etc.]  Core lab
5- Is Blood Bank experience required for this role?
6- Any particular LIS [Lab Information System] experience you would like to see on resumes? [Millenium, Cerner, Epic etc.]   
7- Please confirm if color vision screening is required? Yes

**All Technical positions involving complex testing [Techno Trainees, Medical Lab Scientists/Medical Technologists, Medical Lab Technicians, Cyto techs, Histotechs, etc.] require credentialling clearance from Quality departments prior to starting.

Upon an offer being extended and accepted to your candidate- please send copies of the following to the Program Specialist assigned to your requisition for credentialling:
-Copy of the candidates resume.
-Copy of Official Transcripts
 
IN ORDER FOR CANDIDATES TO QUALIFY THEY MUST MEET THE CLIA STANDARDS FOR TESTING PERSONNEL: [Candidates must possess at least 1 of the below]
-Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
OR
-BS in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science from an accredited college or university WITH at least 1 year of training or experience in specialty in
which testing will be performed. Such training must be equivalent to that received in a school of Medical Technology.
OR
-90 Semester hours from an accredited institution that include the following: 16 semester hours of Biology courses, 16 Semester ours of chemistry [must include atleast 6 hours of inorganic Chemistry], and 3 Semester hours of Math- along with having completed an accredited Clinical Laboratory training program or 1 year of documented Clinical Laboratory Training, or experience in the specialty that testing is to be performed.
OR
-Associates Degree in Medical Technology.
 
 

The Program Specialist will ensure to submit the credentialling form - and send all needed credentialing documents for review.
