Summary

To provide research support in the Forensic Science Examination Lab on various projects on the interpretation of fingerprint, firearm and trace evidence.

Essential Functions

  • Interpret, synthesize, and analyze data
  • Facilitate gathering of materials and data for various projects and reports; write summaries of project findings as requested
  • Maintain a laboratory notebook
  • Present research findings
  • Work safely in the laboratory
  • Work with graduate students

Minimum Qualifications

  • Forensic Science Major in good academic standing
  • Good organizational skills and neatness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data analysis and statistics

  • The student will work under the direct supervision of the faculty member.
