Job DescriptionPosition Exam Room AssistantPay 16.00 - 17.25 per hour based on experienceSchedule AM and PM shifts requiredStatus Full-time 30 hoursweek eligible for benefitsEnvironment Fast-paced clinical setting We are seeking a motivated dependable Exam Room Assistant to join our veterinary team. This role works closely with a doctor and a Patient Care Assistant to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent client service in a busy exam room environment. Key Responsibilities Work directly with clients and patients in a fast-paced setting Review daily appointments with the doctor and Patient Care Assistant Obtain brief patient histories and temperatures Safely and confidently restrain patients when necessary Assist the doctor during exams and procedures Maintain the flow of the day and keep the team on schedule Communicate professionally with clients both in person and by phone Make doctor call-backs as needed Call prescriptions into pharmacies Prepare and make medications Remain on your feet for most of the shift Qualifications Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable handling and restraining patients safely Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lift and assist patients as needed Knowledge of medications or willingness to learn quickly Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility Reliable and punctual with flexibility for AM and PM hours Benefits Full-Time 30 Hours Medical dental and vision insurance Paid time off Staff pet discounts on care lab work and food Yearly 75 uniform allowance Opportunities for training and professional growth If you thrive in a busy veterinary setting enjoy working closely with a team and take pride in keeping things running smoothly wed love to hear from you.
