EVS Housekeeping & Discharge - Mercy Hospital

Legacy Staffing has partnered with a world-class hospital system in Cleveland, OH to hire EVS Housekeeping – Discharge Team staff. We are hiring for second and third shift opportunities with a starting pay of$15/hour.  This role focuses on patient discharge cleaning, sanitation, and maintaining a safe, clean hospital environment while supporting hospital staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms and designated hospital areas following discharge, ensuring high cleanliness standards
• Collect and dispose of trash throughout the facility and manage waste appropriately
• Perform floor care duties and maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
• Create daily cleaning logs and track completed rooms
• Maintain cleaning supplies and notify leadership of shortages or damages
• Respond to patient or staff requests professionally and escalate concerns when needed
• Follow all health, safety, and infection control protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, or general labor roles preferred (hospital, school, warehouse, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and maintain attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills and professionalism
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be willing to complete a 1-step TB test and flu shot as part of onboarding
• Floor Tech experience or willingness to train
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Additional Details:

• 2nd Shift: Full-time (3 PM - 11:30 PM)
• 3rd Shift: Full-Time (10 PM - 6:30AM)
• Every other weekend & every other holiday required for both shifts
