Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50 lbs. Standing or walking carrying objects up to 25 lbs; Repetitive motion. Work is performed in assigned areas and may occasionally include exposure to weather and elements.
Shift
2:00 PM-10:30 PM Saturday, Sunday, and 3 weekdays to be determined (40 hrs/week)
hours may vary depending on workload factors, nights may be necessary to meet deadlines.
Job Summary
The University of Kentucky is seeking a Student Center Facilities Event Specialist to join the Gatton Student Center team and support the successful execution of meetings, events, and campus programs. This role plays a vital part in creating safe, welcoming, and well-prepared event spaces by coordinating room setups, equipment placement, and event support services throughout the UK Student Center and select campus locations.
You'll be responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces, transporting equipment and materials, and ensuring facilities are prepared to meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and guests. Working closely with the Event Management Office, you will help deliver exceptional event experiences while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service.
