Global Security Solutions, LLC (GSS)<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/a> <\/b> <\/span> is looking to hire an Events and Special Projects Manager to work with conventions, concerts, festivals, and sporting tournaments. This role is responsible for coordinating special events in the Denver Metro Area working with GSS management, co -sponsors or other corporate sponsors, and local law enforcement authorities where necessary. This position will manage staffing of venue security, coordinate security requirements, identify event -related security risks, and agree on mitigation risks and threats with leadership.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Job Duties and Responsibilities: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><\/b> Essential functions may vary depending on the department size, the organizational structure, and/or geographic location. Other duties, not listed below, may also be assigned.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/div>
  • Coordinate security for all special events in the Denver Metro area; identify event -related security risks or threats with and agree on mitigation; together with leadership, submit approved security plans to event management and operations manager. Prepare after action report after each event. Maintain records in accordance with records management requirements; conduct on -site security risk assessments and review of venues for special events; attend special event coordination meetings to ensure awareness/visibility of all events and assist with security of these events.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Incident reporting and analysis; report actual or potential security and safety. Track all incidents from start to closure.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Oversee and train supervisor into management roles. On -site coordination and hands -on training with be necessary. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Manage the staffing of events and special projects. Coordinate with Human Resource personnel on recruiting efforts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Scheduling staff for events and special projects and maintain overtime to a present requirement designated by GSS Corporate.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Performance compliance for all associates that report to this role. 30/60/90 -day performance reviews.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Understand and pursue technology trends and innovations that drive efficiencies and enhance industry.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>

    • Minimum of 18 years of age.<\/span>

    • Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screening where required.<\/span>

      Education, Licensing and Certification Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
      <\/p>

      • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or a related field.<\/span>
        <\/li>
      • Must possess the ability to meet and maintain any applicable security licensing or certification requirements.<\/span>
        <\/li><\/ul>

        Experience Required:<\/span><\/b>
        <\/p>

        • Must possess one or more of the following:<\/span>
          <\/li>
          • Law Enforcement or military experience<\/span>
            <\/li>
          • Experience in private security leadership<\/span>
            <\/li><\/ul>
          • Work History to include:<\/span>
            <\/li>
            • Demonstrated knowledge and proven practical application of physical security methods as they relate to special events.<\/span>
              <\/li>
            • Demonstrated understanding of the roles and responsibilities of security and law enforcement in public events.<\/span>
              <\/li>
            • Demonstrated ability to plan high -profile security events.<\/span>
              <\/li>
            • Demonstrated ability in crisis management program development, training, and evaluation.<\/span>
              <\/li>
            • Demonstrated knowledge and proven practical application in workplace violence education, mitigation, and prevention practices.<\/span>
              <\/li>
            • Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of security technology and integrates solutions inclusive of video, video monitoring, access control, and security software.<\/span>
