Position Information:

Join the Northwestern Health Sciences University team this summer as an Advancement and Marketing Department assistant and gain hands-on experience in a university fundraising and event services environment. This role is a great opportunity for a college student interested in fundraising CRM, alumni communications platforms, and event operations offering opportunities to build real-world professional skills while working alongside a creative and collaborative team. This role will play an important part helping the team roll out a new alumni communication platform (Aluminati), optimize a fundraising CRM (Raiser's Edge), assist with campus and alumni events, and contribute to projects that make a direct impact across the university community. If you're looking for a summer opportunity where you can gain meaningful professional experience for university and nonprofit marketing and fundraising roles, this role is a great place to start.

This is a part time, non-benefits eligible position, working up to 20hours per week.

Work Location:Bloomington, MN. 2 days per week in person, but flexible.

Duties:

  • Performdataentry andcleaning of donor and alumnirecordsto optimize marketing and fundraising.
  • Setupdatabase reports for ongoing team use.
  • Document work processes and policies to strengthen department operations.
  • Support rollout of a new communication platform for 9,100 alumni across the country.
  • Support communications to invite and assist alumni with adoption of the new communication platform.
  • Providebasicprospectanddonorresearchbygatheringrelevantinformationwithinthedatabase.
  • Assistwitheventlogistics,preparationofeventmaterials, and day-of event fulfillment.
  • Assistwithprintingandmailing,andinexecutingdonor stewardshipactivities.

What you need to have?

  • CurrentcollegestudentpursuingadegreeinMarketing,Nonprofit Managementorrelated field.
  • Experiencewithdataentry, cleaningandreportgenerationin a fundraising/marketing CRM preferred.
  • Previouseventsupportexperiencepreferred.
  • Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
  • Strongattentiontodetail.

Compensation:

$18.25 per hour.
