Event Security Team

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Part Time Security Officer to join our 247 andor Event Security Team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and assets at the stadium. The role involves both event-day and non-event-day security duties requiring flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visitors with accurate stadium and event details. • Ensure compliance with building policies and procedures. • Assist with managing crowd flow at entry and exit points. • Provide directions and updates on road closures, travel routes, and stadium events. • Help execute layouts for pedestrian safety, traffic control, passenger queuing for public transit (e.g., VTA light rail), and security perimeters.

Security & Incident Response

• Respond to all emergencies promptly and appropriately. • Work closely with law enforcement, fire, and stadium staff to coordinate security efforts. • Monitor the crowd during events to ensure guest safety. • Verify credentials and control access to restricted areas. • Respond to guest concerns and complaints in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed incident reports and security logs. • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen and interact with diverse populations. • Ability to remain professional and composed in high-stress situations. • Work effectively as part of a team across various departments. • Quick decision-making skills for handling security threats or emergencies. • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Education & Experience

• Must be at least 18 years old. • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Guard Card preferred or ability to obtain. • Previous experience in security, event management, law enforcement, or customer service is a plus.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions during events. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. • Regularly required to talk, hear, and interact with guests and staff. • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds. • Certain positions may require the ability to push or pull up to 250 pounds. • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation

• $24.00 per hour
