The Event Planner Intern is a temporary, unpaid position based in East Hartford, Connecticut (Hybrid) within the Marketing, Development, Programs, or Operations departments.
They will learn key aspects of event coordination and execution in the non-profit sector by supporting various events such as conferences, galas, fundraisers, and community outreach activities. Responsibilities include assisting with event timelines, on-site coordination, and administrative tasks. The intern will also be involved in data collection, attendee feedback, and preparing post-event reports to evaluate success and improvements.
Interns gain hands-on experience in program development, evaluation, research, event planning, policy analysis, development, and design. The internship offers flexibility in workload design, supervision by experienced staff, and a commitment of approximately 12-15 hours weekly. Eligibility is open to motivated students with organizational, communication, and computer skills, and stipends may be available depending on funding.
